Kurt is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and educator. As co-founder of Architekt, Kurt's love for education is a cornerstone on which Architekt has been built. His approach to education influences not only his students, but his staff as well. As a private instructor, Kurt has been educating students since 2002. He has a B.S.E. in Music Education from Seton Hall University, where he graduated cum laude and was awarded the Julius Szako award for music. As a studio session musician Kurt has recorded with Sevendust, OneHundredThousand, Wolfgang Van Halen, Call Me No One, Hello Demons...Meet Skeletons, Jerad Finck, and many other projects.
KRISTEN HOUSER - Piano, Voice, WoodwindsLocation: BUTLER
Kristen Houser received her B.A. in Music Education from Montclair State University with a concentration in voice. As a classically trained singer, she uses her specific training as a foundation for all types of singing styles. Kristen believes that classical training produces the best product: beautiful sound with the least amount of tension. This makes classical singing the safest technique for any singer. Along with singing, Kristen shares a passion for other instruments, such as the piano and various woodwind instruments. Her love for children, music, and teaching allows her to participate in the wonderful and exciting journey of discovery, discipline, and determination with her students.
JUSTIN SABAJ - GuitarLocation: BUTLER
Justin is a guitarist, improviser, composer-songwriter, performer and educator. He has been teaching the guitar for over 15 years and playing for over 20 years. He progressed from self instruction to private study, winning both regional and national jazz soloist awards in his youth. He then went on to study Jazz Performance at William Paterson. Justin has performed and recorded with numerous local & national groups. He released an album of expectation defying original music he co-produced in 2014. Though his background is steeped in jazz, he possesses a deep love for all music. His goal in teaching is simple: Help others make music. Harmony, rhythm and good technique are merely tools by which we find empowerment through authentic self-expression.
JOHN CREIGHTON - Piano, GuitarLocation: GLEN ROCK
John is a musician, educator and performer from Glen Rock, NJ with almost 20 years of experience. He is a believer in building a solid musical foundation and fostering a sense of dedication and enthusiasm in his students. These skills not only result in success in music but also in life.
Aside from teaching piano and guitar, John works as a professional musician, music director, recording artist, songwriter and performer. He has a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Scranton and hopes to pursue a master's degree in jazz performance. John is a member of the Hawthorne Gospel Choir, loves playing soccer and watching Seinfeld!

Steve is an accomplished session bass player, performer, composer and producer. As a private instructor, Steve has been giving bass lessons for five years and models his teaching style after the many accomplished bass players who instructed him. He focuses on technique while keeping the goals of his students at the forefront. Steve has been playing bass for 14 years and has a B.A. in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He enjoys sharing new ideas with his students and helping them play more efficiently.
ALEX GOLDENTHAL - GuitarLocation: GLEN ROCK
Alex is a guitarist, songwriter, and session musician. Since Architekt began in 2010, Alex has been a core member of the education team. As a guitar instructor, his technical prowess mixed with an enthusiastic approach has made him a sought after teacher. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Alex began a career in teaching, session work and touring the United States. He has been studying guitar for 15 years and is an expert in progressive modern rock guitar techniques and improvisation.

Shane Stanton is a drummer, producer, and engineer who graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Music Recording Technology. He has spent time as an assistant for J. Robbins out of Magpie Cage Studios in Baltimore, Maryland and has played in various bands and ensembles throughout his career. His love for rock, jazz, and hip-hop translate into teaching his students to become more diverse listeners and players. Shane’s enthusiastic, hands on approach with students keeps them involved and wanting to learn more.

ERIC BALBONI - Voice, Piano, FluteLocation: GLEN ROCK & BUTLER
Tenor Eric Balboni is a native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts and has been performing since his first recital at the age of six. Eric is a recent graduate of New York University’s Steinhardt School, having earned his Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance (Opera) as well as an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. During his time at NYU he learned the Barbara Doscher method of vocal instruction and began teaching voice lessons to undergraduate students as an adjunct voice instructor. His teaching method is strongly based in an understanding of the science of the voice. Eric helps his students to form good vocal habits and technique that will grow as their voices develop.
Eric enjoys teaching all styles of singing including classical, musical theater, and pop. He believes in a comprehensive approach to technique using various genres of repertoire to help his students grow as singers and musicians.
Recently, Eric traveled to the Czech Republic to perform with the Prague Summer Nights Young Artist Festival where he covered the role of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, performed in the historic Estates Theater where the opera was premiered by Mozart. Eric is an active performer, having recently sung the lead role of Alexis in The Sorcerer and is preparing to reprise his role in New York Lyric Opera’s production of Don Giovanni.
Eric is also an experienced pianist and accompanist as well as a flutist.
JASON WARREN - Piano, Voice, GuitarLocation: BUTLER
Jason Warren is a composer who combines his advanced understanding of classical and jazz theory with his love for rock in his solo project, Barfunkl. At William Paterson University, he studied piano performance along with independent studies in harmony, composition and electronic music. Jason has taught piano, guitar, voice, bass and drums along with independent studies in composition for 15 years. During that time, he has also directed choirs and musicals, composed, produced and recorded several albums, and performed with several rock bands all over the east coast. In 2004 and 2005, Jason worked as a writer, producer, pianist and guitarist with Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC.
TYLER KOLLINOK - Drums & PercussionLocation: BUTLER & GLEN ROCK
Tyler is a drummer/percussionist and recording engineer from Wyckoff, NJ. He attended Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA and received a B.M. in Music Recording Technology, a B.A. in Music with Concentrations in Composition and Jazz Studies, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. From a performance standpoint, Tyler has taken part in as many musical endeavors as possible. During his four years in college, he was a member of the college jazz band, symphonic band, percussion ensemble, and marching band, where he was a section leader for three years. Outside of collegiate activities, Tyler has performed and recorded with dozens of different bands and solo acts. He also owns his own small independent record company called Stranger Thing Recordings, which features albums he’s produced and released. He currently is a member of the folk band The Jayplayers, who are based around Harrisburg, PA. As a teacher, Tyler knows that music is one of the best forms of expression a person can experience. He plans to help students reach their full potential and have fun doing so!
CHRISTINE RAUSCHENBACH - Piano, VoiceLocation: BUTLER & GLEN ROCK
Christine Rauschenbach (Mezzo-Soprano) is an experienced performer and soloist in the classical, rock, and musical theater styles, performing in venues in the tri-state area and abroad in England and France, including her upcoming collaboration as a soloist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in the year 2016. Christine's enthusiasm for music easily translates into her interactive teaching style. She believes in the art of reflection and encourages all of her students to reflect on their work. “Every voice is like a fingerprint, no two are alike.” with this teaching model, Christine has created a studio environment that is encouraging and challenging students to become more confident in their own abilities and allows students to map their own growth. She earned her B.A in Music Education from Montclair State University.
