Jason Warren is a composer who combines his advanced understanding of classical and jazz theory with his love for rock in his solo project, Barfunkl. At William Paterson University, he studied piano performance along with independent studies in harmony, composition and electronic music. Jason has taught piano, guitar, voice, bass and drums along with independent studies in composition for 15 years. During that time, he has also directed choirs and musicals, composed, produced and recorded several albums, and performed with several rock bands all over the east coast. In 2004 and 2005, Jason worked as a writer, producer, pianist and guitarist with Darryl McDaniels of Run DMC.
Christine Nevill (Mezzo-Soprano) is an experienced performer and soloist in the classical, rock, and musical theater styles, performing in venues in the tri-state area and abroad in England and France, including her collaboration as a soloist with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra in 2016. Christine's enthusiasm for music easily translates into her interactive teaching style. She believes in the art of reflection and encourages all of her students to reflect on their work. “Every voice is like a fingerprint, no two are alike.” with this teaching model, Christine has created a studio environment that is encouraging and challenging students to become more confident in their own abilities and allows students to map their own growth. She earned her B.A in Music Education from Montclair State University.
Alex is a guitarist, songwriter, and session musician. Since Architekt began in 2010, Alex has been a core member of the education team. As a guitar instructor, his technical prowess mixed with an enthusiastic approach has made him a sought after teacher. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Alex began a career in teaching, session work and touring the United States. He has been studying guitar for 15 years and is an expert in progressive modern rock guitar techniques and improvisation.

Steve is an accomplished session bass player, performer, composer and producer. As a private instructor, Steve has been giving bass lessons for five years and models his teaching style after the many accomplished bass players who instructed him. He focuses on technique while keeping the goals of his students at the forefront. Steve has been playing bass for 14 years and has a B.A. in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He enjoys sharing new ideas with his students and helping them play more efficiently.
Justin is a guitarist, improviser, composer-songwriter, performer and educator. He has been teaching guitar for over 15 years and playing for over 20 years. He progressed from self instruction to private study, winning both regional and national jazz soloist awards in his youth. Justin then went on to study Jazz Performance at William Paterson. Justin has performed and recorded with numerous local & national groups. He released an album of original music he co-produced in 2014. Though his background is steeped in jazz, he possesses a deep love for all music. His goal in teaching is simple: to help others make music. Harmony, rhythm and good technique are merely tools by which we find empowerment through authentic self-expression.
